Facial Protocol

Learn effective protocol sequencing and techniques that combine lymphatic drainage with connective tissue manipulation and tension release to achieve immediate results with long-term change.

funcitonal skincare

Healthy skin begins from within. The Lymphatic Brush supports the body’s lymphatic system to help clear excess fluid and cellular waste, creating the foundation for clear, calm and more radiant skin.

Body Protocol

The Lymphatic Brush body protocols support healthy lymphatic flow from head to toe, whether incorporated into a body treatment, massage, or guiding clients for a daily self-care routine.
The Lymphatic Brush face and body protocols support the science of the skin and carefully combine lymphatic drainage with connective tissue manipulation and tension release to achieve immediately visible results with long-term change. The rhythmic techniques promotes parasympathetic activity and help facilitate the relaxation response.

Learn to work with the fluids and fibers of the skin using the textured bristles of The Lymphatic Brush by Cecily Braden.

🔸 Lymphatic Drainage
🔸 Tension Release
🔸 Connective Tissue Manipulation
🔸 Nervous System Regulation

Learn the in-depth theory and science behind The Lymphatic Brush, along with a wide range of techniques to help gain the greatest benefits.

It’s NOT just about sweeping along the skin.

It’s about working with the fundamental layers of the skin to release restrictions, soften the tissue fluid, manipulate the connective tissue and pressure gradients that support that natural function of the lymphatic vessel system.

It’s about understanding the skin, fusing modalities and how to layer them in a way that helps you achieve long-term results and build a foundation for healthy, vibrant skin.

It's about protocol sequencing and understanding that everything is connected. Each movement dictates the next as the tissues respond to our touch, requiring us to continually adjust our intention, pressure, and technique to meet the skin's changing needs.

It’s about finding a gentle and undulating rhythm as we listen, communicate and try to understand what the skin is trying to tell us.

The Lifecycle of Lymph

During this 2-day course, we'll explore the "life cycle of lymph" and gain a clear understanding of manual lymphatic drainage and the theory behind the effectiveness of The Lymphatic Brush as a lymph drainage device and sustainable skincare solution.

Students will master a variety of treatment techniques using The Lymphatic Brush's patented double-density bristle system to maximize professional results and seamlessly transition clients to an effective at-home maintenance routine.

Cecily Braden has revolutionized "bristle" face and body brushes with the introduction of The Lymphatic Brush. The patented design features a unique bristle pattern and density combination that grips the skin in a precise way targeting the superficial lymph vessels to manually propel fluids and stimulate lymph flow.

The ergonomic contoured shape of The Lymphatic Brush ensures proper contact with the surface of the skin and accurate alignment with the lymph nodes and lymphatic pathways.

Although they appear the same, the small and large brush bristles differ slightly to provide appropriate pressure from head to toe. While you can safely interchange them, it's recommended to use the appropriate brush for each area to achieve the maximum benefits.

Real People, Real Results

The immediate and foundational changes I’m able to witness during our 2-day course is phenomenal and one of the most rewarding and satisfying experiences for everyone.

For me, the reward is far beyond the visible changes and more about what’s happening beneath the surface of the skin and the internal shifts that are allowing the skin to do what is does and function optimally for long-term health and vitality.
IT’S FLUID, NOT FAT
It’s important not to default to the belief that fullness or sagging is simply fat or a sign of aging. Throughout my 25 years of teaching facial massage, I’ve seen how tissue restrictions can slow healthy fluid movement, allowing excess fluid and cellular waste to accumulate. As tissue function declines, the cycle continues—contributing to puffiness, heaviness, and changes in the way the face ages.

ISSUES WITHIN THE TISSUE
In class, you’ll learn to recognize the underlying contributors to tissue changes and apply the techniques best suited to reduce excess fluid, release restrictions, and support optimal skin function.

SCULPT & CONTOURTrue sculpting and contouring are achieved by uncovering the face’s natural contours—not by forcing change. When the skin and underlying tissues are healthy and functioning optimally, they are better able to exchange fluids and nutrients, respond to treatment, and maintain their natural resilience. Working with the tissues, rather than against them, creates results that are both visible and long lasting.

NERVOUS SYSTEM REGULATION
Healthy skin begins with a regulated nervous system. Learn how to incorporate techniques that support autonomic balance, facilitate the relaxation response, and create the optimal environment for healthy fluid movement, tissue function, and radiant skin.

What is Lymphatic Drainage?

A network of vessels, tissue and organs that work in tandem with the circulatory system to...

Maintain Fluid Balance
Remove and return excess fluid from the tissue to the bloodstream; reduce edema, swelling, puffiness and  inflammation.

Irrigate the Tissue “Clear the Clutter”

Remove accumulation of cellular waste in the tissue: dead skin cells, abnormal cells, harmful substances, fats and proteins that are too large to be reabsorbed by the venous system.
Supports the healthy exchange of nutrients into the tissue to feed our cells and removal of wastes to support the clear signaling and optimal function of our regulatory systems and metabolic processes.

Cornerstone of the Immune System

Activates and coordinates our innate and adaptive immunological responses. It’s our defense against pathogens, viruses, bacteria, abnormal, cancerous cells, dust and dyes that we don’t want or don’t belong in the bloodstream.

Supports Digestion

Absorbs and transports dietary fats and fat-soluble vitamins from the intestines via specialized lymphatic vessels called lacteals, delivering them to the bloodstream where they are utilized to fuel the body.

“The lymph system is the origin of life. Youth, life and death are dependent on lymph and its renewal. We live in lymph; our tissues are washed in lymph. It supplies us with the life-giving nutrients necessary for body development.” Dr. Vodder Handbook
